About & Editorial Policy

Mir Journal is an independent English-language briefing on Korea’s industries — culture, beauty, food, travel, and defense & space. We report from primary sources: official press releases and disclosures published by Korean government ministries and public agencies, reconstructed into concise briefings with the context global readers need.

Editorial Policy

  • Primary sources only. Every article is based on official announcements (via korea.kr and agency channels, licensed under KOGL — Korea Open Government License). Each article links to its original source.
  • No reproduction. We do not republish press releases. Articles are independently reconstructed, condensed, and given analytical context.
  • AI collaboration, human judgment. Our workflow uses AI for monitoring, drafting, and translation. Every published article is selected, edited, and approved by a human editor. We disclose this on every article.
  • Corrections. Errors are corrected promptly and transparently. Contact: ocusun@gmail.com

About the name

“Mir” (미르) is the old Korean word for dragon. The Origins section preserves this site’s earlier Korean-language archive.
